that's not Alan posting the pictures. He never has time to get bored. He's under the gun constantly trying to get a project finished. He works 80 or so hours per week. What the picture shows is him milling the aluminum plate that is going to be the firewall. He also milled aluminum plate for the front and rear engine mounts. The acessories all mount to the front engine plate ie power steering, alternator, airconditioning compressor.. they all had similar designs on them...the rear motor plate flushed up to the bottom of the firewall so it looks like one piece. Alan is hotrodbuilder

I'll try to get Alan over here and follow this thread. He's got tons of pictures..We want the April issue of PHR to get out before we post much. They have about 16 pages of info on the Cuda in April's issue..it should be out in about 2 weeks. We just got in the new Centerforce dual disc clutch with an Aluminum Flywheel and pressure plate..Supertrick..we were going to run a single disc 11 inch clutch but the starter ring on the flywheel wouldn't clear the inside of the rear drive dragster can we are using..10.5' single wouldn't hold the power..We also got in the Rockland gear prepared T56 6 speed trans and the Transaxle rear that they prepared. Should hold over 1,000 h.p. Going to be interesting to see how much power and torque the motor makes with fuel injection vs what it made with the demon carb and Indy Cylinder intake. We are going to put a 3 or 4 stage nitrous set up on it too..We're getting it set up for Maxton on April 1..I think Troy and Poteet are going to have their Cuda up there too..1200+H.P. 4 cylinder turbo charged Hemi..very trick

You can't see all the equipment Alan has in his shop..he's got a ton of metal shaping equipment..ie english wheels, planishing hammers, big Yoder Hammer etc. He does everything that needs to be done to a hot rod. He doesn't like to sub anything out except the interiors to Paul Atkins who is just down the road... we really appreciate your compliments.

No problem, I can certainly wait. That's an incredible car that you guys put together. It was easily THE car of SEMA.

Definitely keep us posted on the motor. That sounds awesome.

you ought to put the word out on this site about Maxton. Hot Rod Magazine is going to be over there to cover it. They came over last year and I took my Rambler Wagon up there. They won't let you run but 135 without a cage. They were a little surprised when the Rambler busted 135 before I reached 1/2 track..I had to pedal it the rest of the way. Ran 140 the second pass and they got a little ill..One guy in a C5 vette ran 185 on a 150 limit..They immediately escorted him out of there..It's a good time..a Firebird also ran in the mid 180's. Takes a lot of safety stuff to be OK'd to run that fast. Speeds run there also count as qualifying at Bonneville and the dry lakes..It'd be nice to see the event grow..

When is Maxton 2006? I know in 2005 it was the last weekend of April. I bet that's an AWESOME event to attend.

Hey Bob -
I'm very interested to see how your transmission holds up under that kind of torque and Nitrous hit. Manual transmissions are awesome, but have been kind of marginal in many high horsepower/traction applications. I looked into Rockland for the T56 and decided to try a TKO600 built by Promotion Performance. I hope to see these gearboxes hold up. Please keep me posted. Also, sounds like you will have a ball at Maxton.

don't plan to use the nitrous until 6th gear.. maybe 5th..it's staged, so not hitting it all at once..100hp per stage probably..
