The frame rail build:

Main center rails welded up in the fixture.


Rear frame rail sections welded up then removed from the fixture so they can be ground smooth.



Early stages of the chassis build.

Body and engine mocked up on the bare frame to double check ride heights and clearances for the engine. The goal was to get the engine lower in the chassis to gain better hood clearance to the intake.

I never saw a pic of the car. I'm to busy being stuck on the shot of the twin turbo NRE 572. What car?....

Further progress on the chassis:





Angled side rails and a flat center crossmember will allow for a drop floor to be built so we can maintain the same headroom as if the original floors were still in place.

Looking good as always. Was that "nelson super car" number something? Looked allmost undriven,how many miles it had after nelson ?
