Exactly. Also, if you already have aftermarket brakes for a first Gen, you won't have to worry about changing them because this setup uses the factory spindle. Another key feature is that this frame still maintains the stock track width. So if you already have wheels, you don't have to worry about getting new ones to accomodate the wider than stock track width of the C4/C5 setup that requires high positive offset Vette style wheels.
If you're starting from scratch, then yes, the C4/C5 setup would probably be the way to go, but this at least gives a lot of guys a new option without dumping everything they already have. Personally, on top of all those factors I just gave, packaging is big concern. I need all the room I can get for downpipes - that required a front steer rack. This frame is perfect for where I'm at and what I'm doing with my project.
