Definitely a cool movie, bought it on DVD couple years ago. There is a Muscle Car Museum in the Smokey Mountains/ Pigeon Forge,TN area that had one of the Challengers from the movie when I was there couple years ago.

Have seen both movies and the original was better of course. In the remake, Jason Priestley played the DJ...Clevon's rolling in his grave. The remake has a scene where a black 68 Charger (looks like the bad guy's from Bullitt) is chasing Viggo in the Challenger and they roll that thing several times. I still can't sleep at night sometimes.

I thought it was a supercharged 440.... At least that is what I remember them stating in the advertisements for the movie.

Either way a great car movie, and part of my DVD collection.

Floyd Garrett Muscle Museum, been there a few times. Well worth it if you have never been. And yes I saw the movie when it first came out.

Saw it and loved it. And then there's the homage in Death Proof!
