Mines been OK since, also make sure you have them turn down the drive plates to chevy diameter or your wheels won't fit. I did fab a bracket so I could run Baer brakes with the emergency brake.

Nice work on the parking brake setup.

Definitely all worthwhile info.

I planning on running an in-line hydraulic e-brake seeing that the floater set up typically doesn't support a standard brake shoe set up.

TheJDMan - Are you mini tubbed and do you mind sharing your wheelsize/backspace? You've got a killer set up!

I have not yet added them but my plan is to use a Viper style spot brake for an E-brake.

I am running mini-tubs the wheels are 18x12 with a 5.6" bs.

I forgot about turning the drive plate hubs down, I did that myself but moser can also turn them if you ask.

Can I ask why you guys are turning down the drive plates and the amount your turning them down?

Also what stud sizing did you go with? Looking at the DSE sub frame they use m12x1.5 but Moser doesn't provide this sizing.

If I remember right, GM wheels have a 2.77 index in the center of them, the Moser drive plates are 3.06, so the wheel won't slide on to the hub, so the hub/drive plate must be turned down. I'm actually running 5/8" studs because my Mustang does so many track days. I originally ran metric on the front, and 1/2" on the rear. At VIR I had a one of the ARP studs break, the head just popped off while I was torquing the wheels. It kind of gave me the willies so I upgraded to the 5/8" studs, probably way overkill, but it makes me feel better.

This thread is awesome, thanks for info! Basically answered most of my floater rear end questions that I've been searching the whole internet for all night
Excellent work on the park brake adaptor plate. That seemed the main drawback on an otherwise very effective set-up, as I like a drum style E brake better
Thanks for mentioning the turning down the hub diameter for Gm wheels also.
With this method a floater is the same price as a regular 9". Anyone considering a new axle should look into this
