Default center of gravity

I've got a question, I know the concept is to get the center of gravity is low. My question is this. I'm getting ready to fabricate custom seat brackets to mount my seats, now if I were to drop those front seats, say 1 to 2 inches, would that benefit the center of gravity by getting the weight lower in the chassis?

Unless you are building a truck [or some other vehicle with a huge amount of headroom] its pretty hard to get the seats too low.
Yes, in general, lower is better...up to the point you can't see over the dash Lower center of gravity will help handling and headroom.

Absolutely. In my Race Car, the Seat is mounted directly to the floor
