Yes it is. Very cool place. Hallowed grounds, IMO.

You can see Black Lake, the 5 mile circle, the 2 mile North-South straightaways...

You're right, it's almost like a city. What you can't see in that pic is how hilly it is. I believe it's the highest point in Lower Michigan.

It's located in Milford, Michigan.

Hey, There I am!....in the parking lot outside Building 16

Some interesting factoids:

MPG was founded in 1924

We now have over 5000 employees working at MPG

It it over 4000 acres

Contains the highest elevation in southeastern, MI. (The big reason the site was chosen all those years ago, elevation changes)

We have over 132 miles of roads within the Grounds

From 1925-1986, they estimate over 820,000,000 miles have been driven on the grounds

If you look in the lower right portion of the picture Scott posted, you car see the MRC, Milford Road Course....Yummy!

Amazing place to work.

I have some really cool pictures from an anniversary book published, I will have to scan and post them..WW2 Tank testing, Pontiac Division machine guns...early vehicle development rigs...neat stuff...
