air ride technologies air bar question

has anyone heard any information on people running coilovers on the airbar setup instead of the airbags? thanks for any info.

We have a great deal on the Chris Alston G bar which is a Air bar with Vari Shocks coil overs. For less then $1600 your set.

I like it alot. It is a true bolt in with the only welded required being some tabs on the rear for the inner bars to attach. I like triangulated 4 bars, and for ease of installation, and cost, it is pretty hard to beat.

There is no doubt a good 3 link is the best hard core race suspension. Just a bit more fabricating and cost then a G bar.

As for comparing it to a Quadra Link. I cannot say one is better then the other. I think they are both good. For a do it yourselfer, the G bar is a easier install, and less money.

Frank I have been eyeing this system for a while. Can you tell me your honest opinion, would my tailpipes have to be re-built in order to clear the G-bar setup? Darren posted a pic a while back that looked like the tailpipes had to be moved. Reason I ask is my new exhaust cost quite a bit of $$$ and I'd hate to have to rebuild it. But I really want a setup with ride height adjustability.

I'm thinking of a 4 link from Alston as well. Do you have any pictures of it?

Ryan, it would be hard to say if a given exhaust will fit or not as no 2 systems are indentical. There does seem to be a bit more room with the smaller diameter Coil overs then with the Shockwaves. But even with Shockwaves exhaust can be snaked through. I would imagine that even if your tailpipes did require some modifications, it would be pretty simple stuff.
