Default 64 Corvette/502 swap

Here is a quick update pic on the 64 vette that we are putting a 502 in. The old 396/425 that was in the car was strong, but hey- they are never strong enough. (heck it had been in there for decades) and is probably worth more $$ in an appropriate car.

We test fit the engine last week and everything seems to line up pretty well. There have been a few issues....but nothing that cannot be figured out.

Now.......I am trying to decide how best to detail the engine compartment. It was painted under the hood last in the late 60's when the 396 was swapped in and now shows age. This is not a Barret quality car...It's just a driver. It will see rain, dust and dirt.

Any tips as to how to best clean and detail the engine compartment would be most appreciated. Keep in mind that the full harness is still in place as well as all the plumbing, rubber, etc.

Thanks!!
