trunk mounted battery question

for those of you who have a trunk mounted battery, are you running a master disconnect switch? if so, where is it mounted?
I'm considering ditching my passenger side reverse light and just mounting it on the tail light because I don't particularly want to cut a hole in the back of the car... any other ideas?
