Default 2nd gen brakes

Hey all,

I took my '71 Camaro to Portland International Raceway for its first track day last month, and discovered that those Baer Track brakes are maybe not the ultimate solution when you're heading into turn 4 at 140 MPH. I'm looking to upgrade at least the fronts. Baer has the new 6 piston caliper design for 2nd gens, but only with a 14" rotor that would require me to swap out my 17" wheels. I'm leaning toward doing that anyway, but what other solutions are out there?

Will the new ATS AFX spindle work on a 2nd gen? I see it is supposed to be a direct swap out for B-body spindles on an A-body, and the 2nd gen F-body spindle is basically the same as the B-body. The AFX spindle would obviously open up some more brake possibilities.

Thanks for any advice you folks can give.
