Default why did you have to piece together the shock crossmember?

Good question and I knew it would be coming!
No rocket science here, but since the car came in tubbed, it was basically nothing more than I didn't feel like fighting the crossmember to get it in the right spot. So I just cut it, got the left side fit to the tub nice, mocked it up and then fit the right side cut off piece where it needed to be. The cut, or seam, is where the coil over mount is on the cross member, so after it was welded in, the coil over mount bracket acted like a bridge over the seam on the under side. The seam was tig welded solid underneath and the splice plate was plug welded over the seam on top. It's plenty strong.
Thanks for viewing, more pics coming
