stock, many people will argue which is stronger, LS or LT T56. If you're going to rebuild or upgrade, it doesn't matter. They are very similar transmissions on the inside. Both will handle your power levels with the blower unless you're planning to drag race the car and launch hard with sticky tires.
The LT T56 will bolt to an SBC easier than the LS version since the bellhousing is a more integral design on LS version.
The only other thing to consider and research are the different gear ratios/models of T56s. 93 had two different T56s available with one having a lower first gear. Not easy to find any more I bet but might be worth the hunt. LS versions have the MM6 and M12. The 6 was found in fbodies with the M12 in GTOs and maybe CTSv. M12 had lower first gear and lower 2nd overdrive. You'll have to take into consideration the funky shifters on the GTO and CTSv versions though. I'm willing to bet that any normal LT T56 will work just fine for you and be the easiest to install with the conversion bellhousing. That's the route I would take.
