Default I finally have my dream car (sort of)

Hi All,

I've been checking out this site for a few months, making a post here and there. I've been very inspired and motivated by lots of the posts and pictures by other members. Now I finally have a car, and so I figured I'd do a real intro.

My name is Dan. The car I just bought is a very rough 1969 Firebird convertible on ebay.**

It's going to be a father and sons project. So far my sons have taken out the front and rear seats, removed all the old beer cans and cleaned the one mag wheel. Our plan is to go through it from top to bottom, replacing just about everything.

**BTW - Here's a bit of advise... if you ever buy a car on ebay, bring a good friend with you when you go to pick it up. After a long drive to the the car's location, I jumped out of the truck to check out the car. After my eyes did a quick scan of the car I had one of those, "what have I got myself into moments."
Luckily I had my buddy Pete (a full time Army Guard Heli-pilot) with me. Cuz, my heart started to palpitate, and my stomach was doing something similar to what it does when I'm within nose-shot of a God awful poopie diaper.
Thankfully Pete had successfully completed Prisoner of war camp training, and he quickly noticed the signs of someone about to crack.
I figured he had two options - shoot me or promptly suggesting we start loading the car. Luckily for me and my son, he elected to forgo shooting me and instead said, "well, don't just stand there, lets get this thing loaded!"
