Lightbulb Knowledge bomb needed for 71' chevelle

Good after noon Gents! I was lucky to find such a kick @ss site as this one with such a large following and viewing I figured Ive come to the right place. Long story short im looking for ANY feedback regarding SSBC on a first hand basis with a chevelle (preferably 70-71-72). I was lucky enough to find a good car that Id like to slowly work towards a solid daily driver with some sexy pro-touring/grand touring?.

My preference of course is the Kore setup but the shop Ive found in San Antonio (Tim Duncan's Black Jack Speed Shop) only carries SSBC in my price range, and not as familiar with the Kore popularity and success. For my price range and driving needs, maybe a track one day...but for now something that works well with 18 and 19in wheels under say...1500$ where I also have budgeted more for wheels and tires.

Suggestions and experience would be greatly welcomed to a first time buyer with next to zero car experience. If you also have a known reputable, solid, and fair shop in San Antonio area, that would be great. Thanks!!!
