Sure why not. LT1s are fuel injected and with twins you can have 400 rwhp on 6psi. After all you said you aren't really looking to race the car or dog it, so as long as the motor has a good safe tune then it should last at low boost.

6psi if probably the limit you'd want to use on a stock short even with a safe tune a full point fat. The oem lt1 pistons are known to cracking ring lands under boost.
