Wow not to sure I'll ever do this again, turned out mroe work that I thought it would be , but damn it looks good.

We got the idea from DSE site to weld in plates to smooth out the factory subframe seams. We started be grinding all the old factory bubble gum splattered crap out and completly TIG welding the entire seam top and bottom. Then went back and cut plates to fill the gaps where the seam rolls over. After all them were cut we proceed to do some hammering and shaping to follow the contours of the rails. Tacked them in , shaped a little more, and then proceed to complety TIG them in. Then came the fun part, couple hours grinding, and 5 or so flap discs later. It smooth and shiny again!! As far as it'll go for now until after we get done with mockup, and then we'll lead some pinholes and powdercoat it.
