If you decide to install mini-tubs the game changes pretty dramatically. In the process of mini-tubbing you will completely remove the factory upper shock mounts and at that point it's generally easier to install a link style rear suspension. These link style suspensions provide a completely different set of shock mounts from factory and will use coilover shocks/springs.
