that is the nicest cleanest way to do it. I could not do that on mine because the engine is set back 1.5" further than normal, and there wasn't room on the passenger side between the head and firewall.

I ended up moving mine under the motor.

I aquire my LS-1 valve covers from WegnerMotorsports.com

They have Billet covers without/with coil location mounts.

They have two heights to allow for the required clearance for optional rocker arm fitting.

I made the brackets/spacers for that setup. Started with this:



Then added this. A couple right angle braces off the pan studs hold this in place.



Then added one additional brace from the bellhousing and ended up with this; it is very solid, can't move it at all.

the other option is to make the simple all-thread and spacer setup in the first pic, and then simple brackets off the studs to holes in the back of the heads like DSE did. I would do this first if there's room on your install. Got this simple idea from Tony (Nineball) at LS1Tech.

yes, I've been amazed that somebody hasn't come up with a clean billet mount that bolts to the back of the head, and a universal one for mounting wherever. Seems like there's a market for them.

Tylers coil mounts are really really cool.

They are going to offer a ton of options for locating the coils are absolute works of art.
