I thought this was one of the better Hot Rod issues in a long time, but I think that car and driver is pretty dialed in for drag racing. In that article it show the wheels off the ground by a number of inches with the 350 ZZ4 engine. I have owned about five chevelles two with big blocks that never hooked like that. Granted I was a knob but I still think the yellow car with a (LS7 Test) with a 10.78 in 3420lb vehicle weight is smokin

Yeah...It was a great article. But that car had a 5100 8" converter and 4.30 or 4.44 rear gears. Not really a streetable ride....more of a full on drag car.

Far from what most of us are doing, but it's an excellent idea and comparison. I think it's really cool. Is the article online or is it in the current newsstand issue? I'd like to check it out.

I know that my LS7, even with a small cam, pulls extremely hard and just keeps pulling. There's absolutely no comparison between the LS7 to the 434 small block that I used to have.
