You want to keep your overall height on the front around 26" or less, and 27" overall height in the rear. You can probably easy carry a 295 in the rear and a 255 up front. I would condsider staggering the rims 20 rear and 19 or 18" front. Just make sure however smaller your front wheel diameter is then your rear, your tire diameter needs to be equally less. In other words, if you run 27" tires on the rear with 20" rim, and you run 18" rims on the front, your front tire needs to be 25" or less to avoid looking taller then the rear tire.

For the rear wheels deduct 4" off your overall rim width for the right backspace. For the front wheels deduct 3 1/4" off the overall rim width. So if you have 10" rear, you need a 6" back space. If you have a 8.5 front, you need a 5.25 backspace.
