What's your impressions of how it drives?
Thanks. Lots of adjusting needed so it was a little sloppy... needs alignment, clutch adjusted, throttle pedal is loose, power steering reservoir is junk (being replaced with a better one), that shifter is pretty damn hard to get into 1st gear, but we think that may help once the idle is adjusted. Surprisingly, we didn't feel or hear any rubbing as low as it sits. Gonna move it up about 1/2" all around anyway.

Thanks Payton. It's a pretty vivid experience.

Thank Jody.

Yes, I was waiting for this question. When we originally started it the idle settled down betw 1000-1400 or so, but then once we got out on the road it was up around 1800-2000. Not sure why. The tuner is coming by this week/weekend to plug his equipment in and check out all the vitals.

Oh, and max boost we saw was 7 psi just part throttling. That's with the intercooler and larger pulley hooked up.

it should idle fine at 950-1000 rpms, it did before. Sounds like the throttle blade is too far open, vacuum leak, etc. I'm sure the tuner can figure it out once he has access to the software and can see what is and what isn't happening.

Congrats again on getting it moving, big milestone.

As you know Dave, there once was a short, stocky, dimwitted bald man who lived with his parents. That all changed however, once he got behind the wheel of his Dad's GTO proclaiming loudly and proudly ... "I'm a bad man!"

After your maiden voyage Dave, I don't see how we can deny your membership any longer into the 'Bad Man' club.

Welcome!

Thanks. It's a great feeling as you know, and just the beginning of more fun.

I can't remember his name, but the tuner that is coming over the Gearhead guys are really high on his skills. So I'm sure he will get it worked out.

Congratulations. I know you've been through a bit to get to this point but it looks like it was well worth the trouble. Can't wait to go for ride!

Well... when it's finished. Are these cars ever finished? I realize we spent all the time videoing the car last weekend and no really decent pics. I'll post a couple of what I have.

He's fortunate to be in the Kenny Banya business.

And it is a very demanding business indeed.

Thanks! Yep, the plan is to cruise down from Sac with the Gearhead posse and be part of their team.

Thanks Curtis. Yes I was just telling my dad today that after 2.5 years of bitching, complaining, sulking, bla bla bla, it all doesn't matter much now.

You definitely got a ride voucher!
