They're amazing highway & Blvd cruisers. For a while back in 2004 or so, I ran 20" wheels on it with modern low profile tires. I prefer the continentals lowered with some sort of period correct wheel. They ooze class in a semi-stock form.

A modern Stereo is a must. Jon if you need some ideas feel free to PM me. I've done 3 different versions of stereos in the car within 10 years, the final setup ended up being 2 downfiring sealed 8" subs, with custom kickpanels with really loud components. A hard top gives you more options than a convertible, thats for sure.

This car is pretty cool. Total burnout machine. The engine is a 351 Windsor, Procharged with Intercooler, bored out to 427ci, new crank, pistons, heads etc., Typical case of a hot motor with no where to put it

We both have identical burgandy interiors, except his is all original and mine was redone in cheap vinyl in the late 70s...

Some random detail shots of mods I've done. 2 8" Subs in a sealed enclosure BEHIND the dash firing at the transmission tunnel. AVI components in custom fiberglass kickpanels, 1000 watts. The stereo in this car is loud enough to have to turn it down at 80mph on the freeway with the top down.




Dakota Digital Ride height controller, head unit, bass knob. I also have the remote control installed for the air suspension controller. It works about 2 blocks away, when someone walks up to the car and leans over,, I'll pop the car up and laugh as they freak out . I did this to Vince Vaugh one morning at Home Restaurant in Los Feliz. Its a great air suspension addition. I'd like to swap out the controller with something that does ride height presets with ride height sensors....



The tops on the convertibles are prone to shrinkage if they're left down for extended amounts of time. The top on this car was stuck in the trunk for 15 years. You can see the shrinkage.

Dane,
I'm going to PM you and pick your brain. Thanks for posting up all those photos. Car went off to paint today. Wish us luck. I'm 99% sure I'm going gloss black on the car. But I might get a wild hair up my ass to do the car in matte charcoal grey with gloss black trim. So let's see.
