Thanks guys. I called Keisler and they are sending me a connector with pigtails and a plug for the mechanical cable I'm currently using.

I guess the pigtail already on the trans is for the neutral safety switch, not the speedo.

The Keisler tech said he thought that the yellow was the signal, the 'other' one was ground on their pigtail.

Vegas, you said yours was reversed, did you get your pigtail from Classic or Keisler? I hope it comes with a diagram either way!

EDIT: I checked my american autowire harness for my Covan's dash last night and indeed, the yellow is the ground and the purple is the VSS signal. So it sounds like the Keisler and Classic pigtails are the same, so I'll likely have to reverse them as you indicated.
