Thanks Cory!

Here is another part that I am working on.. Always have hated modifying the original 2nd gen spindles to fit aftermarket brakes.. So we are making our own spindle..

Looks like a forging to me! Are you making these univeral enough to mount all brands of calipers????

You caught that one Eric!

The spindle is designed as a forging.. It will be out of steel.. Right now it will use a stock Wilwood Camaro hub with a W6 Wilwood caliper.. I have it all designed & layed out but waiting to machine the first set.. The future is to use Impala custom hub with the large bearings.. Caliper brackets can be made to fit different calipers applications.. The steeing arms will be fabricated for different adjustments to the suspension mounting points..

Will the spindle and hub combo increase the track width? That is another negative to most of the aftermarket brake set-ups I've seen. It's hard enough with the stock track width to fit much tire on these cars if they are lowered.

No.. I can control hub to spindle placement @ this point.. Right now it sits about 3/8 in towards the spindle.. Lowers the car about 1 inch.. & a couple of other things that I will not disclose till prototypes are machined & fitted

At this time I am only making one set.. maybe two.. I don't know if I would take it any farther machining a set for my car.. Forging is expensive!! I could always sand cast like they did the orignals.. But $$$ for tooling is always a BIG factor!!

How'd I miss this? Okay... don't answer that - it was rhetorical.
