I was lucky when I graduated from high school cause my dad gave me a 1966 427 Corvette as a graduation present.. So I feel obligated to doing the same for my daughter! In the mean time dad gets to enjoy the car till she graduates.. she is only four yrs old right now!

Thanks guys! Can't wait to finish this one up.. Got a prototype rear suspension being sent to me for fit up from a very well know suspension vendor on this site to confirm fitment.. I just ordered rear tires.. 335-30-18 for the rear BF Goodrich KDW.. got all the front sheet metal @ media blasting.. finishing up the fender stretch & mini-tub.. Hoping to have it done this year

Thanks for the opportunity to get involved Cris. My 4.5 YO daughter already has her eye on my 70 also! Though, she wants it pink of course!

As for the color choice.....all Cris, I can't take any credit for that. The first thing out of his mouth when we talked about the rendering was Viper Snakeskin Green. It's pretty intense but it has a bright gold aspect to it that gives it some dimension and depth. I was thinking that the new Synergy Green from the 2010 Camaro could be another option.

Looks like greens are big lately, this is like the 5th project since last summer where I presented a bunch of different color schemes and the owner/builder went for the green. Golds, champagnes, bronzes are pretty popular too.

Love those 2nd Gens.....and I love green. Can't wait.
My daughter already has a car too, and she just turned 6! A certain one-owner 65 Coupe is already promised to her, skipping me entirely!
The things we do for our kids!

Default Gathering parts!

We have so busy here @ the shop that we have not had time to work on my car but have been working on gathering some parts or fitting parts from other 2nd gens to move mine forward..

I got a smoking deal on this brand new LS3!!

Borrowing parts from Mary Pozzi's car to fit my motor & build engine mounts & transmission cross member..

Just picked up these components from Speedway Engineering to do a floating rear end with 1.5 negitive camber built into the rear end.. about 1/64 toe in..

I will be doing a custom rear brake system that will have a functional parking brake using all of Wilwood components..

Thanks Cory!

Here is another part that I am working on.. Always have hated modifying the original 2nd gen spindles to fit aftermarket brakes.. So we are making our own spindle..
