You have a much better stroke / bore ratio for RPMs and I ASSUME it is a 6" rod motor which would make the rod ratio killer to. I would bet 6800 to 7000 is a good shift point for you.
Yeah thats screamin. Im not sure yet what the rod length is.. I got 3 big envelopes of receipts and paperwork I still need to go through that came with the car.

But yesterday I just wanted to get the car home safely. I'll rev that sucker up here soon and see how it goes. It does have a high rev kit on it I believe. We'll know soon enough.

Thanks, and yep it was. I was actually getting pretty close to buying a 67 in Texas when I found an old expired craigslist for this car about 2-3 months ago and went and contacted him thru the forum.

Damn Dave I was looking forward to having a shot at beating you with an unfair parts advantage. Way to bring things more even again.

At least I will be a member of the AC and subwoofer club

Hopefully that is going to change soon! It's tough looking at the pretty pieces and not being able to do anything with them.
Well we will have a race to see who gets back on the road first. Mine could be anywhere from 2.5 to 8 months. (Skip knows where that line is derived from )

We are basically gonna have totally different cars so it's anyone's ballgame.

I don't appreciate your AC and subwoofer remark.
