Just let it settle and see if it loosens up. What rubber you using? The Metro's seem to be pretty nice.

Started with the Metro brand, that really pushed it up, couldn't close the lid. Ripped it out and bought the nitril from classic for a zillion bucks worked much better. Im using the metro stuff all around the doors and its seems to be very nice. I always seem to have issues with trunks for some reason. Thanks Ill let it settle for a while and see if it comes down a bit.

Help it "settle" using a dab of Vaseline on your finger and smooth it on the "wubba".... it helps it slide past the fresh surfaces and allows it to form. A bit of warmth from some lamps a day or two doesn't hurt either.
