Awesome work Jason. Are you still going to Marquis to work on the car or is it at your place now.

Did the deck lid sit low in the opening before installing that. The reason I ask is my deck lid sits slightly high and Im wondering if maybe a different set of hinges might give me that adjustibility or if I machine the mounting pad on the hinge to drop it down.

Thanks Rich
Thanks Rich. No shim on the hinge that's just a sharpie mark on there. Do you have the rubbers installed? If so does it fit without?

I'm working on mine now and have a question. The trunk lid looks as though you closed the gap on the lid edge. Did you just add weld or us a rod and fill?

Matt, I had to do the deck lid and the quarters. My lid had the skin installed a little off plus it was galvinized so it was a pain to weld on. Try to avoid welding on the lid and work the quarters. I use 1/8" rod and also just fill, depends on how far I have to go. This lid was the worst part I had to gap on the car so far.

Hey Dave, car has been at my house for about a year now. How's things going, coming to the left coast anytime soon?

Thanks Rich

Maybe Delmar, should be in paint stage by then
So did you end up buying welding equip. and machinery to fab sheet metal to do it at your home? Or have you been just tinkering with cool trunk latches for the last year. You back to framing or still pushing panties, what ever it takes right.

Just let it settle and see if it loosens up. What rubber you using? The Metro's seem to be pretty nice.

No I'm done framing, now I'm just ole #9. Let me know if your going to Del Mar and I'll head down there.

Started with the Metro brand, that really pushed it up, couldn't close the lid. Ripped it out and bought the nitril from classic for a zillion bucks worked much better. Im using the metro stuff all around the doors and its seems to be very nice. I always seem to have issues with trunks for some reason. Thanks Ill let it settle for a while and see if it comes down a bit.

Thanks Rich
