Havent though of that- but off course a great alternative too. Do yours have the original dash?.. Do you have some pics to share?.. Im open for all possibilities here, so thankful for all inputs!!

Yes, I have orginal dash...but I´m also using a steering rack instead of a box, and wanted the extra length outside the firewall... sorry no pics.

Mine also have the unisteer r&p so wouldnt hurt with some extra length towards the rack. Probably ending up buying a custom unit made to order i think. Both Flaming river and Ididit have just what i need:-)

You could get the aftermarket one and build a housing to go around it to get the look your after, Just a thought

Thats exactly what i am leaning at now. I remembered that the donor car had a removable panel around the steering column just where it meets the dash. Turns out the panel fits pretty well around my camaro column to, so i think that the easiest way is like you said earlier Tracy to just order a custom fit column later:-)
