Lol, you can't buy real Snap-on tools from Pep Boys, only directly from them. You may see Snap-on drop lights, gloves, maybe a a cheap wrench set or screwdriver set at Costco ,but that's about it. And I'd stay away from drop light or extension cord in a reel, because they are junk, I've learned my lesson and my Snap-on tool guy don't want anything to do with that trash.

Sadly -- the "BLUE POINT" part of Snap-On is Taiwan junk.... might as well just buy cheap junk if you're going to buy that 'line' from them.

There is no way to buy Snap-On here except from them - or as you've seen - used or just as expensive for new - off Fleabay.

I wanted to buy a route and truck - thought it would be "fun" to have and take it to car shows etc. Figured I'd let my brother in law run it. NO WAY. Owner operator only! And you can only take the truck on your route. No thanks! They're so protective.

Guess they have to be given the investment!

I love their tools and buy on line when I need something (rarely anymore).

All good advice, thanks guys.

Bummer that they don't sell it through any outlets.

I saw some gloves and lead lights at a pep boys store when i was over there last year, that's why i thought there may have been places to buy from other than the van.

It's well known here that the Blue Point range is not the same american quality. People still buy plenty of it though, mostly the younger apprentices without the budget of the older guys.

There are many products 'made by snap on' but most people here don't know about Bahco, JH Williams etc. I'm trying to stick with the real Snap On product, and maybe a little bit of Blue Point.

There are a few Snap-on dealers (truck owner/operators) on the Garagejournal site who occasionally post and sell in the classifieds section, sometimes with pretty good discounted pricing. You could PM them with your needs and ask for a price.

I don't need new stuff often since my wrenching for money days are long gone.....

I don't think that they are supposed to be doing it (selling Snap-On in various on-line posts), however. Most likely a big no-no.

Thanks for the heads up, there is quite a bit of Snap On gear for sale there. I'll keep an eye out for the guys with the bigger lots of stuff.
