Default New Guy

What's going on everyone. been snoopin around here for quite some time now.. I'm currently a Mechanical Engineering student, and have been working at a machine shop for a few years now. My love for cars and engines is my drive.
Im really hoping to learn a lot on this forum as I know bare minimum about cars.

That being said.. any recommendations on where to start?! haha
Thanks everyone!

Im currently reading the "how to build a small block chevy" book. hoping that will give me a strong base

I ain't gonna lie, I just bought a car I liked. I didn't know squat. My first was a 66 Impala SS with a 327. I sold it before I did anything to it for one of my current cars...my 72 Chevelle. I've always liked cars ever since I was a kid and knew what the models were. So, I had a few in mind of what I wanted and of course it had to be a Chevy. I learned along the way. Anway, welcome!!

Welcome, I am an engineer and graduated 4 yrs ago. I have been working on cars for 23 years and Im 28. I was raised in a garage. When I was in school I decided to design my own suspension for my falcon. Just jump in head first, buy a car that you can play with. If you want to learn motors then start hanging out at the local engine machine shop and buy something you wan work on.
