Rear 9" assembly help
Fab 9 rear with Moser axles (big ford ends)
First time putting one together sorry for the dumb questions.
Should my axle bearings be sticking out 1/8"?
Once the axles are in Im assuming the c-clips bolt to the housing to hold the axles in right? What holds the brakes on?

Yep that is correct about an 1/8. What brakes do you have? Normally Baer brakes and others use the axle retainer as the backing plate, you ditch the 4 hole retainer and use the backing plate- hope that helps John

Hey guys do I need the 1/2" or the 3/8" T-bolts for my housing ends?
Was trying to order some but not sure which size I need. Thanks for the help.

Normally Bare brakes use a socket head cap screw to mount the bearing retainer, not the T bolts. with this you will most likley have to clearance the housing end for the bolt head. be cautious not to grind to far and break through the housing end.

I think the FAB9 housing has tapped housing ends. At least mine does.

I finally found my instruction manual. It says to use the 3/8" original T bolts. Time to order some today so I can finish assembly.
