FE...I got some electrical issues holding me back. I'm this close to firing the dang thing up.
Now an all aluminum 427 ZL-1 you think was only putting out 500hp back in 69? Man I don't know. The engine cost just as much as the car back then. And then experts say an all iron HEMI was putting out 500 or more HP, that 427 was a beast!! Then there's the 427 Cammer from Ford. Exotic and limited production yes, what'd Ford say about the HP numbers on that thing?

Post some updated pics of your Charger in your build thread.

All great motors if you can afford to build one. The Cammer was never put in a car only sold over the counter so it doesn't count. They came close using the SAE Gross ratings. With a single four-barrel carburetor they were rated at 616 hp at 7,000 rpm & 515 torque @ 3,800 rpm dual four-barrel made 657 hp at 7,500 rpm & 575 torque @ 4,200 rpm. From some modern day cammer dyno runs I've seen I say those ratings were pretty close. The Cammer was the original Mod motor.
