Hmm you didn't tell me you pulled a main cap, or two. I'm guessing the look of the bearing made Mike feel good about the build. That and the Callies cast into the arm of the crank.

I don't like the look of the piston skirt in picture three. Have them tear it down and blueprint it.

Exactly. He is a picky SOB and doesn't tolerate much for BS I have found, or even uncertainty. And while it costs more, I appreciate it.

Yeah they mentioned that along with a lot of little things but nothing they felt were too bad or couldn't be fairly easily remedied.

End play was normal.
Needs a new Jesel belt.
The bearings looked pretty good.

Mike had to leave early for his 38th anniversary dinner or woulda pulled the VC's and inspected further. Next week.

That blemish on the piston skirt---that's a problem. I'd get another motor.

Hey...I got one of those also..

The wife asked me the other night at dinner what was in the big plastic bag that has dust all over it in the back of our garage...Oh I said something like a $8500.00 Visa card gone bad.

Dinner was a little better after the third full glass of wine...

Had Wilwoods 13"/6 piston front and 12"/4 piston rear. Drilled and slotted. Sold them to a fellow Road Touring Customs customer building a 68.
