correct. it is a bar that goes in between the frame rails. I am using it on a 69 camaro. I will post pics of the unit and try to hold it in place where it needs to be to give everyone an idea of how it looks. it is not on thier website. I spoke to Jeff he mentioned they were going to redo the site soon and have it on it.
I also spoke to Koni tech department about this, and ask for some opinions and they recommended this shock but it all depends on my final ride height. they also mentioned if I used this shock I would have to bore the holes out a bit in order to make it work.
After buying the kit so many more questions came to me, BRP say's the shock will be under 20 deg of tilt in and they said the factory is about 8 deg. also the shock will now be moved up in front of the axle instead of staggered. I talked to BRP about this as well as other vendors and I am so confused now and have even more questions. is the angle to much for the shock? will I have wheel hop with non staggered shocks? even if i am using the 3" DSE 175lbs leaf springs. the kit is bolt in and requires to drill a few holes in the rear frame rails, should i reinforce the rails after drilling them? I will post pictures and the install pdf when i get a chance later today or tomorrow morning. if you have any input it will be greatly appreciated.
I have this system on my 69. It works, don't have any wheel hop, but will break the tires loose real easy(5.3ls w/heads/cam/intake). I guess i am satisfied with it, it hasn't broke or anything. but am going to put on rear suspension i bought off of kevin miller, so unitil then i don't have anything to compare it to.

Great to hear, did you do the install or have a shop do it? what shock do you use and what leaf setup are you running/drop? any info you can provide will help.
I can't comment on the angle of the shocks being too much or too little, but this definitely sounds like you need to install the bar before shopping for shocks. Everyone's spring/ride height and lower shock mount combination is going to make a big difference in what length shock you select.
For mounting the bar, does the kit come with shoulder bolts that will keep you from squishing the frame rail when you torque it down? If not, I would suggest getting some and drilling your hole sizes appropriately. See Todd's (Vegas69) Payback thread for the section about mounting his swaybar for more detail.
