Old tires are horrible for your times, but I've found they make for a good teacher. After spending all year learning to autocross driving with them, I bet you start knocking some nice times with better tires!

For street tires, I liked my Firestone Wide Ovals the best. The only thing to keep in mind as this is your daily driver, is that UHP tires are listed as summer tires only for a very good reason. You will have no traction in the winter especially on even the slightest amount of ice or snow. So, have a different set of rims and tires for autox or winter.

I'm not sure if i would agree if its a good teacher. I was focusing too much on how much its going to slide instead of the proper line. I feel like i drifted the entire course the whole time
