When I installed these NOS quarters, I got them to fit as tight as they could to the inner structure and to the doors.
Did you replace your body bushings? Did you fit your doors first before you took off your quarters? I like to leave on the doors when I do quarters. Makes it a lot easier and then you know its all good. Some pictures would be helpful.

Yes, solid bushings. Doors were fitted, but after the new quarter install, they were removed and not put back on for some time. With that lapse in time, I have not been able to get the fenders to fit the doors.

Smile So What to do

when it's snowing and too cold to work in the garage? You work inside, specifically the workshop (aka bathroom) and polish the front door glass. It's kinda messy and you need water so .... use the tub and pad with some towels I ordered the Eastwood kit and it showed up yesterday so figured I'd put it to good use.

I did not have the window roller nut tool .... so the rear glass didn't get polished. I will order the tool and replacement stuff and get those done soon.

The glass came out great, there were a few marks on the glass (scratches) that took a while to clear up, but three passes on each side took about an hour and she's better than new. Not too bad for 48 year old glass

Really pleased with the kit

Thanks for looking ...

Do they offer more than one kit Chief?
Maybe throw out the part number you tried and liked?
Were your scratches deep enough to feel with your fingernail? I have some pretty deep ones in my original door windows that a glass guy told me 15 years ago were a lost cause.

Based on the reviews from Eastwoods site, it appears the deep scratch kit does not work well on tempered glass. All the glass is tempered with the exception being the windshield. None the less, I'll still try it out.

I was very pleased with the results ... it's takes awhile (patience) but well worth it The directions say to make a paste consistency of toothpaste .... I used a touch more water and just kept the polisher moving and kept it watery and don''t let it dry. It's only a 3" polishing pad that I put on my 7" polisher.

And since I was polishing in the tub I kept rinsing with water to check the results... slow speed on the polisher = 600rpm, just go slow and keep it moist.

I didn't have any deep scratches so I got the 12525 kit, they have a courser kit that is made for the deeper scratches #12526
