It's good to see a truck being redone with the PT theme...

Are you guys going to fix the body line issue with the bed and cab? That modle ford has always looked like the bed was a left over from the previous body style to me.

I hope to get over to your shop to see you guys some time and have a look at what you are doing over there.

Any details on the 347? AFR or TW heads? EFI or Carbed?

How about an AOD with a Lentech valvebody instead of the C6

The owner had the 347 ( I think its around a 400 hp dyno'd engine)built so I will have to check the specs on it. It is a carbed engine right now but we will probably be changing it over to EFI in the end. The owner had a new C6 so he chose to use this as well.

Yes, we are excited about doing a mild mannered pro-touring styled truck that has very subtle and clean touches! Yes, that bed has never looked right to me either. We are going to pretty much hand build the bed to lower the body line to meet the cab and reshape the rear end of the bed as well! A lot of subtle custom touches that should look more natural. Come by the shop anytime!!

Starting the disassembly -

It had some rust issues in the front floor pans and front section of the inner rockers due to a leaky sunroof. I guess these were popular in the late 70s or early 80s? Don't worry...the roof is being re-skinned!

The cab came out very nice! Minor rust in one cab corner, and front floor pans/front inner rockers.

Time to start the custom built chassis!!

What did you use to strip it like that? First photo looks like you might have used some chemical striper and just clean up real good before shooting the photo...
