Just a suggestion, Zinc plate it and install afterward. in my experience the catch gets scratched up no matter what you do.

On the botlts, no idea off hand but you'll find it either in the Fisher assy manual or call one of the major parts houses and ask them what the spec is.

Edit: I'm not a 100 point resto guy so apologize if I'm off base here.
