You are correct. I have a pair of ATS spindles with the 2010-up ZR1 (SKF) bearings that Blake set up for me a couple of years ago. They do have the splined hole through the middle of the bearing (the fronts and rears on the ZR1 have the same part number). I was curious about the "without raising the cost to the consumer" assertion since the ZR1 bearings are much more expensive. At first I thought Ben might have included an old file photo, but if you look at the front view, just below the indexing hub between the two lower wheel studs, you can see evidence of the hole that has to be drilled in the flange to insert a tool to spot face the larger ZR1 bearing housing for the lower ATS mounting stud. I specified, and Blake provided genuine GM bearings -- SKF makes them for GM. I don't know if someone else is now making "replacement" bearings (without the splines), but it would be worth asking the question. Ben?
