Glad you're moving forward with the project. Look forward to see it finished.

Anyone have a good source for a 12-bolt rearend? I'm looking for something complete but want to keep cost in check.

Don't laugh but have you thought about a Ford 8.8? There are several articles (Hot Rod/Car Craft) that compared Ford 8.8 to GM 12-bolt, and they said the Ford is almost equivalent in strength, and cheaper to find/build. I have an 8.8 disc brakes out of a 2001 Mustang GT you can have (n/c), if you want it.

Is it a direct bolt-in?

I really appreciate the offer.

Not exactly. You need to weld on spring perches, since you're using leaf springs, shorten the axle tube to correct width, and redrill/get new axles with GM lug pattern.

Something to think about. I originally got the rearend to swap out my BOP 10-bolt rear, but decided not to do it (time constraint).

Let me give it some thought and I'll get back with you.

Car was picked up last night:

Big thanks to Gutierrez Towing for picking it up and transporting it safely.
