Momo steering wheel, Ididit column and NRG adapter?

I bought the NGR quick release and mounted it to my Momo adapter hub which was a collapsible design. Regretfully it put the wheel too close and cramped arm movement. I purchased the narrower NGR hub which put the wheel close to the previous location. The bolt patterns were the same in my situation - 70mm.

Perfect Sieg, thats what I wanted to hear. I also have the Momo adapter so it should work perfectly. I ordered the new column thats 2" shorter than stock.

Its a nice set up and is built right.

How much time do you have with the adapter? Any play in it?

There's only a couple thousand miles on mine. No detectable movement at all. The NGR piece is a nicely designed and machined piece - much better than expected for the price.

unlike the stupid one I bought from grant. Feels like the darn wheel is loose.

If I noticed ANY slop in the NGR while driving it would be gone in a split second.

Sieg...is that the narrow version? On their website it looks like the Gen 1.0....

I'll be interested in taking a look at this. James has the Tekniq release on the OLC car and it's a very nice unit and super tight.

What I don't like is that it requires two hands to release it.

While a release can serve as a security aid and can add convenience in cockpit maintenance it's real purpose is to aid egress in the event of something awful happening. One handed release is IMO a big part of that.

The NGR is definitely a 2-hand release. I love it for removing for work in/under the dash area, and when I had to leave the car parked outside, I removed it and took it into my hotel room with me.

For my height, the steering wheel being a little further away from the pedals helps as well, but if it were 1/2" or so shorter it might be ideal. Regardless, it's a high quality piece that I really am glad i purchased...

No slop at all, very solid feel.

I think for a street driven car, you really want the 2-hand release mechanism also. While highly unlikely, the last thing you want is to somehow accidentally release the wheel while rolling down the road...
