I'm telling ya - you guys have no idea how fast you can get going on some of these tracks... and you get used to it real quick. Suddenly it really doesn't feel so fast. But pounding down the front straight at Thunderhill -- you're taking turn one at a good 90 mph maybe? I'd prefer to be able to tell stories about it sitting around the campfire. Safety makes it fun. Otherwise you might as well be playing Russian roulette.

I know when you say "you guys have no idea" you are just speaking in general to the masses, but yeah I do have an idea... I've hit 135+ in my car at Big Willow and you do get a sense of what can get go wrong and how fast it can happen if you get off course, off track, or just something small fails like Ron stated. And if you have the balls to have the car and cajones to take turn 8/9 there at well into triple digits, well, lots can go wrong. But any turn on a road course really can jack you up bad is that point.

I totally agree, my Mustang hit close to 160 on the back straight at VIR, all I could think about was lug nuts and wheel bearings. The car was lifting so bad, felt like the front tires weren't on the ground. 160mph right into a hairpin(crazy). After 3 sessions it started to feel normal. VIR kind of made the other tracks seem less dangerous, and I think that is when you get in trouble. 100mph will hurt as easy as 160mph.

160 is absolutely flyin in an old bucket of bolts like our stuff. Big difference between 130 or so and 160... in any car.
