Hey all,

Been busy working on a new custom transmission crossmember. That is the Tremec T-56 Magnum 6sp transmission. Going into the Art Morrison MaxG full frame chassis.

This image shows the issue the best ----- by the time you get some rearward movement going to remove the transmission -- the tailshaft is now captured on the crossmember and won't allow you to start dropping the tranny "down and out". This is the piece that either needs to be eliminated or made removable.

Between the body tunnel and this piece --- it gets real tight real quick back there.

The good news is....it's only tacked in.

Maybe they saw that one coming.

I have the same issue with a torque arm crossmember, so I feel your pain!

Thanks for the tip Greg, I knew it was gonna be tough to remove like it was. I think I'll make it removeable. Better to catch it now than when it's done.

Good Eugene -- 'cause I was really a little steamed when I discovered it on the '55 !! And of course by then I had the tranny part way out... and - well you know where that goes. LOL
