Hi all,

More updates today. Starting to put together the chassis and get things sorted out. Now we're trying to adjust the proper ride height for the car. I think it's going to be somewhere around 5 to 5.5" to the rocker.

That chassis is a work of art. Seems a shame it's gotta be hidden.

Cheers mate. Thought they might've been but wasn't sure. I've had the same lights turn up for my car (in black) but haven't seen them.

Doing a little work in the quarters. Going to open up the vents and make them functional; plan is to have them cool the rear brakes.

Hey guys. Got some new parts in. Customer was able to find some GM NOS parts for the project. They look really great.

I also have a GM LS9 that I'm using for another project. Thought I would give you guys a sneak peak of it.

Cutting out some space in the firewall to hide the coils.

Hey all,

Been busy working on a new custom transmission crossmember. That is the Tremec T-56 Magnum 6sp transmission. Going into the Art Morrison MaxG full frame chassis.

Hey all,

I have some more updates for you.

We're well on the way to installing the AME chassis, nailing down the ride height, and getting the body integrated.

One of the things you'll find is that with the AME pinched fixed chassis point behind the transmission - is that you won't be able to back the tranny out far enough to be able to remove it once the body is in place (forcing you to only be able to go DOWN with the trans for removal). At least that's the way it was in the '55 Chevy I built for a buddy. I ended up lifting the body off the chassis because at the point I was in the build - that was easiest then. It was that - or taking the motor / trans combo out the front as a unit.

You've got to be able to back the trans out far enough to disengage the input shaft from the clutch/pressure plate - before you can begin to drop the tail shaft down enough to clear the chassis -- regardless of whether or not you've removed the rear mount.

Just saying -- something to be mindful of -- especially with set up etc of these new hydraulic throwout bearings etc.

This image shows the issue the best ----- by the time you get some rearward movement going to remove the transmission -- the tailshaft is now captured on the crossmember and won't allow you to start dropping the tranny "down and out". This is the piece that either needs to be eliminated or made removable.

Between the body tunnel and this piece --- it gets real tight real quick back there.
