Wow, its been a while since I have updated this thread. Progress a little slow since the boys started back up in college. Hoping to get her done when they take the summer off.

They redid the shock tower. First time the skimmed the seam

With the concern for cracking under stress, the seams were cleaned and stitch welded and finally reskimming the smooth.

The trans and diff cooler brackets had compound bends which required a finger bender. We couldn't find one anywhere. I buddies at Derale came to the rescue and pulled it off.

Package was cut out and a smaller one fab in it place.

Every component in the engine bay was vapor blasted. This machine is about $30,000 but leave a finish that very fine.

ABS has been relocated and lines completed.

Camber/Caster plate Justin design and had built are done. Top plate is bead blasted and electrolux nickel plated. Very proud os him doing these.

Rear shock hats completed.

Most all the CF parts are in.

Doors will drop about 90 lbs.

We had these parts made for G5.R in dry carbon. Roof, hood and trunk will drop approx 40 plus lbs.

Since it wont have any headliner, you will see the weave when sitting in the car. Kinda cool.

Here are some studio shots they took.

Dry carbon hood

Hood vent

Dry carbon trunk

Lower grille

Z/28 rear diffuser

trunk filler panels

Z/28 spoiler

The factory powder coating was removed on the wicker bill. It was then brushed and anodized. Has a very nice contrast against the CF spoiler.

What is different about the dry carbon other than the "flat" look as compared to the "glossy" appearance?
