The brakes feel good and the steering is tight. The front springs are soft and pretty close to the bump stops so I'll need to figure out something for that.

My brother just put new wheels on his mega cab so he ran these by last night....not really the look I'm going for but I'll try them out and see what happens. I've got some wheels (Craigslist) that once cleaned up will fit the style I'm after, I'll get a picture of those tonight.

As much as I'd love to keep it, I need to put a roof on the house this year. I really want to road trip it to Bonneville for Speedweek.....we'll see.

I picked these up, 16" instead of 17.5". I like them better then what my brother gave me. I'll spray them black and leave the center cap chrome, done and done.

It was either last year or year before at SEMA there was a polished one of those. Cool project.

Back in the day 1976 my neighbor bought an old Devco (I think thats right)
and painted it blue with an eagle down the side. He and his mom drove it from Seattle Wa to Washington DC for the Bicennetinial. They had a blast.

Killer project DB!!

But I have to ask --- "what's the plan"? It's not a tow rig.... or is it? Is it a flip? Cruiser? Camper? WTF you going to do with it? Or is it like DG's (Flashythingy) tow rig... it's just an item to keep a spot on the driveway oily.

It's a huge distraction is what it is!
I bought it before I bought the mustang thinking it would be cool to just have, the price was right and I'm a sucker for odd ball vintage.

The plan today...get it sorted and enjoy bombing it around until someone has to have it. The Seattle area has a huge vintage truck/trailer following, small businesses selling goods at open air markets and street fairs, not sure any of those hippies have money though.

The plan yesterday...Send it down to J-Rod&Custom and have him put it on the ground, load some crap in the back and take off for the summer!

The reality is I have two weeks before key components for the mustang show up, headers, rear axle and more Mike Maier Inc. goodies. So a bit of thrashing and than back on the mustang, later it'll be sold and I'll throw the money at the house.

Of course I may talk to the bank and see about a loan for the remodel.....
