That's good market awareness! On that note, from what I've experienced, it's always frowned upon to put thread tape on brake fittings . . .

On another note, I've seen brake system leaks go away with usage (heat & expansion), which can be hard to apply with a minimally used fun-car . . .

Good on Wilwood (I have their stuff, too!) for stepping up and trying to put the fire out!

The Teflon tape for the adapter going into the MC is Wilwoods recommendation, it is not on the brake line. I tried 4 brake lines (store bought not made) and it still leaked. Something was just a little off (milled)

never use thread tape on aluminum it acts like lube and you will split the bore

Thanks but as mentioned it was Wilwood recommendation. Got a new MC and it looks like I have it fixed
