Awesome build and skills.

No matter what you do the rocker will not be totally sealed and moisture will accumulate. A couple of drain holes would be a good idea so that moisture can escape.

Thanks Don!! Yep, totally agree. I sealed the inside of the new rocker with Zero Rust before I put it up and I sprayed Eastwood's frame rail seal inside the existing rocker. I decided to leave the existing rocker as I don't think the weight savings was worth any potential chassis rigidity. I will include some drains....I agree with you, these areas seemed to have been designed to gather as much water and debris as one could find! - I wish I had picks of the leaves I took out when I stripped the car!

Combined the install of a 2.5 gallon oil tank with finishing the fab of the extended rocker panel. Thanks to many here...Steve, JJ, Tim McGilton and others for the concept and advice!

Used a 1" tube through the rocker to provide access for a bolt to attach the front fender. Even though I've done everything I can to eliminate any water from getting down here, I still prepped the metal to withstand the elements.

These access holes will be covered by a splitter...coming later.


Had to push the tank into the interior just a bit.

Will have to relocate the filler and install a site tube. Prepped for this but will wait until I'm routing the oil lines.
